1.1.25 // The Year of Perspective
It is the year of perspective.
.
May we claim this word with courage and without the worry that we may be challenged, that we may be wrong, that we may need to let go of old ways of thinking, that we may indeed need to change.
.
May we be unafraid to look beyond what we already know in hopes of learning what we don't, even if that requires us to be vulnerable to own our own limited vision.
.
May we be empowered to ask questions and look beyond the surface in hopes of finding truths, even if there are multiple truths, since dichotomies in this world surround as consistently as the day turning into the night.
.
May we have perspective both in the external world and internal world, creating space for grace to fall on our shoulders like soft kisses from the snow instead of acting like a gusting and galing winter storm clinging tight to my own false sense of self.
.
May we use perspective for good, to create safe spaces for voices to be heard, to trust a little easier, and love a little harder even if our views are vastly different.
.
In this year, perspective is our north star, our way home.
