6.6.22 // Breakfast Experimentation

What did you have for breakfast this morning?
.
For me, well, my breakfasts are usually pretty odd...
.
I like a couple of pieces of toast with almond butter(specifically from @jeanherve_jeanherve), ground flax seed, blueberries, and chickpeas, topped with a sprinkle of cinnamon, turmeric, salt, and pepper.
.
You're probably thinking, "Liz... what?!"
.
I know, it sounds weird to me too, but it works for my body (plus I think it tastes so good)...
.
And think about this for a moment... any food we've cooked has come from experimentation.
.
Maybe you had eggs for breakfast?
.
Someone had the brave idea to eat something that came out of chicken. Someone had the crazy idea to see what happens when you cook an egg over a fire. Someone had the brilliant idea to mix the eggs and hot sauce... (credit to @letstherapize for this bold reminder).
.
Experimentation.
.
Isn't that all of life? It's easy to see it at a high level - the development of technology, how and what we eat, etc.
.
But what a beautiful reminder that nothing we do was done without someone doing it first. Some "crazy," "brave," or "brilliant" person.
.
Why not let that person be you.
.
Here's to life being one big, messy, beautiful experiment.
