Heart.

Heart can be an emotional descriptor. Someone can say that you have a beautiful heart. Perhaps meaning you have a loving, empathetic, open-mind, or even deep care for your fellow humans.

Heart can be translated to heartfelt. Which indicates something is done in a sincere, deep, and strongly felt manner. Someone could send you a heartfelt note, give you heartfelt advice, or simply give you a heartfelt invitation to join a table of friends.

The list can go on and on for what qualifies as an "emotionally good" heart.

Heart can mean the physical. A hollow muscular organ that pumps the blood through the circulatory system by rhythmic contraction and dilation. It's that consistent thump in our chest that we’ve grown so accustomed to hearing and often take for granted.

The list is short for what qualifies as a "physically good" heart.

So what happens when you're heartfelt and strong in emotion, but the physical starts to betray you...?

Well, this is my dad and that is his case.
.
This man has a lot of emotional heart. If I'm honest, we haven't always had a strong relationship, but I'm very much aware and trying to change that. In the moments I've been able to spend with my dad, it's evident that his emotional heartbeat is exceptionally strong. He is the leader of his pack of his friends (sen-nagers as they call themselves- senior citizen teenagers), he deeply loves my step-mom and is also motivated towards repairing our relationship.

However, he is struggling with the physical heart. A blood clot and atrial fibrillation (AFib) came out of nowhere. AFib is a quivering or irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia) that can lead to blood clots, stroke, heart failure, and other heart-related complications. He has had to be shocked a couple of times to regulate it to normal and will most likely have surgery in January.

While most would be fearful, my dad's emotional heart outweighs his physical and he is as goofy as ever. He would never ask for this, but from my heart to your heart, I'm asking for you to give a little of your heart and some good vibes for his heart.
