2.16.21 // i think about you
I think about you.
.
Do you think about me too?
.
I find myself in daydreams of us.
.
Daydreams of moments as soft as the sheets we find ourselves in on slow Sunday mornings.
.
I'm learning to love the slow.
.
The way our eyes slowly open, the way our coffees slowly grow cold during our fierce games of cards, the slow touches where your hand lingers on my neck, back, or thigh.
.
I long for your touch.
.
A touch I take for granted when long stretches of time are spent together. A touch that makes me feel so deeply supported even your contact is as soft and light as a feather.
.
I daydream about us because the reality is so sweet.
.
When we're together the present moments could be confused with a daydream, the way they linger in perfect bliss even in our hard moments. That's to say, not every moment is happy, we fight, we conflict, we are two separate humans, but even that is a bittersweet dream. Two humans showing up as they are in search of something more, something shared.
.
A daydream so fair as a reality and a reality so sweet as a daydream.
