4.28.20 // How Are You Doing?

How are you doing?
.
Really, I want to know.
.
A few posts ago I talked about triggers and social media and I want to circle back around.
.
I wrote…
.
“My goal with continuing to share my feelings and thoughts on social media is not to trigger your sympathy. It’s to share. To share in hopes of continuing to shake social media and slowly change this place into a vulnerable place for true community.
.
Follow those who inspire and whose community you want to be a part of. Unfollow those who trigger you. And if I trigger you, I’m sorry. And I understand if you need to unfollow me or if this isn’t what you need or want in your social media journey.”.
.
Have you found social media has created a community for you?
.
I realize that social media has become a different beast in quarantine with the world that we once knew having changed drastically. However, with heightened use of social media as a means of connecting to other humans, do you feel you’re able to utilize social media positively and create an online system for connection during this time?
.
If yes, how have you found your community? What is that community doing to feed your soul (or less drastically, to feed your mind or confidence)?
.
If no, what do you want to see in social media, how can I or someone else on here continue to grow a community that is built-in truth, vulnerability, and the shared human experience?
.
As I mentioned before, my goal is to build a community where individuals feel heard, feel loved, and feel like they are seen and respected.
.
So, in all seriousness, I’m asking with genuine hope for response whether that’s a comment, a DM, an email, or a message along the barking chain (Scout is listening- hopefully, you guys get my 101 Dalmatians reference…).
.
Cheers friends and take care of yourself both at home and online.
