8.19.20 // I think about you

I think about you.
.
Do you think about me too?
.
I think of so many of you. The souls of long lost family, friends, and lovers.
.
I think about the family members who have passed on. The ones who whisper on the wind in the moments I let their memories dance across my mind.
.
I think about the friendships that grew apart. The ones that grew in the bright summer light but eventually faded into the cold winter dark as we grew apart, became the people we needed to become and let each other thrive in the cold temperatures as our friendship withered with the season.
.
I think about the lovers who fell to the wayside as we broke apart. Like pieces of the same ship, steadily moving towards a safe harbor, thrown into the midst of tumultuous seas as we realize we were not meant to be. Could we have sailed in tandem in separate boats or would we have never crossed the seas?
.
I think about you, all of you.
.
Maybe you don't think about me, and that's ok too, but I hope you know I do.
