11.23.21 // Rain in British Columbia

The rain in British Columbia is relentless in this slowly fading fall and rapidly encroaching winter.
.
But, I can't help but wonder if the rain is just trying to share her magic in a way that is misunderstood or seen as inconvenient to us...
.
The way her clouds roll in, like a thick wool blanket tucking in around the highest peaks and lovingly holding the mountains in her embrace.
.
The way her soft raindrops fall, keeping the trees damp with dew, nourished with clean water, and cared for. The rains fall like a dance of fulfillment and freedom bestowed on each leaf, branch, and pine needle.
.
The way she is persistent in showing up, wanting to create the silent magic of the first few flurries of snow. She patiently waits for cooler temperatures to turn her water molecules into frozen pieces of expression. But in meantime, she practices her loving rain dance, her creative flow, and her loving embrace.
.
And on the rare moment where she takes a rest and lets the sky clear, she loves to play with the sun.
.
Letting the sun cast rays through her fluffy clouds, the rain peeling back the deep gray blanket to create a color pallet that is bursting with collaboration.
.
After all, the rain, like she can create incredible unique snowflakes, can also collaborate to paint perfect sun-showers and sunsets to remind us that her magic may be misunderstood by us, but it is always there.
