10.2.24 // The Good Ones: Jess

Grateful for the good ones.
.
Especially this one.
.
Jess and I have been friends since we both lived in San Francisco. 6 years of friendship, multiple moves, a global pandemic, and a whole hell of life have happened in those years.
.
But Jess has always stayed constant, a bright light in my life. That’s not to say we haven’t had our “growth” moments, but even those moments have created a place for communication, honesty, and vulnerable truths. I’ve learned so much about myself in this friendship and from the harder moments where I didn’t want to hear the truth, but Jess told me anyway, all while loving me the same.
.
Jess is also incredible at creating fun and planning days like “Basic Bitch Fall,” where we do all the fall things and lean into “basic.” (Because basic is great even if the term likes to poke fun and aims to shame, we decided to lean in and reclaim our basic-ness).
.
So here’s to the good ones who create space for the good and the great while standing beside you amidst the challenges.
