6.5.23 // The Words on My Mind

The words on my mind...

"I don't get to tell people how to love me. I get to see how they love and then choose if I want to participate."

I've been carrying this phrase in my mind for the last 6 months and I've been clinging to it tightly. Because the other adage of believing who people are when they show you, time and time again, has held so true for me over the past years.

They're both such simple and easy phrases, but brutal lessons to learn, and even harder to practice.
