3.16.21 // to those who are struggling...
To those of you who are struggling, I feel you and I see you.
.
To those of you who got out of bed in the face of the voices that pull you back, lull you into the sweet comforts of familiarity, and whisper fears of the lingering day, I am so proud of you.
.
And to those who find themselves still in the warmth of their bed, I send you love and rest for your bodies and mind.
.
To those of you who smile with a mask of feigned happiness in the midst of others, I hope you find the freedom and space to take off the mask that holds you hostage in the perceived disillusionment of emotions.
.
To those of you who have anxiety that creeps in during moments of quiet, I see you. The way anxiety disguises itself as a means of survival instead of its true self, an ego riddled with fear. I hope you can hold that fear with loving hands and soft reassurance.
.
To those of you who love the people who fight demons in their minds, I hope you’ll find patience even if your understanding can only go so far. I hope you’ll communicate clearly, listen openly, and hold space for the battles in their mind to be fought so valiantly.
