12.31.20 // intention

Intention.
.
If we let go of expectation where would that leave us with our intentions?
.
It's tricky...
.
Because at the core, intention can be laced with speculation, assumptions, and expectations.
.
But what if it didn't have to be that way? What if intention could ground in the light of acceptance...
.
Would your intentions still be met if it wasn't how you envisioned it?
.
I think it would because often the plan isn't your plan, it's something bigger.
.
Even in moments of disappointment, anger, or hardship, your plan is unfolding, your intentions are being met even if they are blind to our very narrow-sighted mind.
.
So, what if we just let go?
.
Let go of intention in the definition so tightly wound with expectation? Would we be liberated? Would we find trust in ourselves in the larger universe?
.
If we let go of this old way, we could re-write the definition of intention.
.
We could replace expectation with acceptance and we could replace unexpected changes of plans as trust.
