6.23.22 // Mount Kenya
Let's explore new places together.
.
I've never thought of Kenya and assumed big mountains.
.
But my ignorance wasn't bliss, it was blight.
.
Because what I saw on the slopes of Mount Kenya was beyond my deepest knowledge and surpassed my wildest dreams.
.
In the clouds, I danced across the slopes of the second tallest mountain in Africa.
.
I sipped the refreshing thin air and spent hours traversing trails without a single soul passing me by, and only the wind whistling softly, poetically.
.
A foreign landscape of the best kind.
.
I left the slopes humbled, I left the slopes wanting more.
.
Only allotting for a few hours, I left with my lust for Mount Kenya and a vow to return with more time and more respect for her jagged granite peaks and her grassy slopes.
