1.28.21 // let's explore new places together

Let's explore new places together.
.
Places with roads that lead to nowhere, nowhere in particular...
.
Roads where the cobblestones were laid with care centuries ago. The once perfect placement of each stone drifting apart over the years, where the gaps growing between each piece offers a home to the smallest sprigs of grass and vines which grow with vehemence and yearning for life.
.
Places where the connection between the old and new are contentious and filled with a mixture of loving admiration and also a strong dislike for one another.
.
Mother nature battles to return her lush landscape back to its original form after years of sacrifice to the whims of man. The vines which cover the buildings, the hidden flowers poking up along the old stones, and the parks unruly with grasses too beautiful to be weeds, are her attempts to show her strength.
.
Places where you can feel the energy, but not just one type, all of the energy, hundreds of years of energy. Mother Nature, historians, artists, philosophers, the world spinning from a distant past into a not so distant future, all colliding in simultaneous chaos if you only feel the energy on the surface.
.
Energy where if you look deeper, into the chaos, will show itself as more orderly than initially noted, almost as if to be a dance. A waltz, slow, but methodical, moving and holding you close. And if you close your eyes, you too can dance, but you have to breathe in the maddening energy first before your feet can understand the moves of a place so powerful as this.
