11.17.20 // a week of scout, part II

We've lived through a lot, Scout.
.
We've lived in big cities with apartments overlooking the busy streets of San Francisco and Washington DC. Streets where we would walk late into the evening in hopes of finding ourselves, our thoughts, or in your case a leftover pizza crust.
.
We've lived in the back of cars with piles of sleeping bags and mountains of sand from our romping through the desert or beach. Days where we would run ourselves ragged by the sunlight and dance amongst the stars by the moonlight.
.
We've lived through moments where the world has felt heavy. Moments like this year, where the darkness has never felt so real. Moments when that ominous wave starts to feel all too encompassing.
.
We've lived through moments where the world has felt light. Moments where we've laid in the sunlight, smelt the fresh forest after a light rain, and where a perfect song comes on the radio when we are traversing one of our favorite dirt roads.
.
We've lived, Scout.
.
We've lived a big, beautiful, wild, and uncertain existence.
