Since 2015 Nick Kleiner and I take hours together each December to daydream a guiding word for the coming year.

If we let go of expectation where would that leave us with our intentions?

Slowly, we're making our way out of the long dark days.

With the world slowing in early 2020, I spent a lot of time thinking about what "friendship" entails.
